Bookings/timings
Our online booking system is managed by our bookings secretary, Graham Pawley. We would ask all users to comply with requests for information so that we can implement and maintain the system. - The kitchen is available for making cold and hot drinks, preparing and serving food. There is no charge for this and it does not need to be pre-booked.
- The kitchen must be booked if it is used to prepare and/or serve food. A one-off charge will be made, per use, in such instances.
- There is no refrigeration, and no food must be left in the kitchen after use.
- There is no communal crockery and users must put their own equipment away after use.
- All surfaces must be left cleared and cleaned.
- Remember to check that the hot water boiler is switched off after use.
- The premises are cleaned daily Monday to Friday, first thing in the morning, except when our cleaner is on holiday and then they are cleaned slightly less regularly by contract cleaners.
- Bins are provided in each room and wheelie bins outside the building through the wooden gates.
- Recycling of rubbish, where appropriate, is encouraged.
- Please leave your room as per the layout photos displayed, even if it is not like that when you arrive. If the room has not been left for you as per photo, please speak to the Hall Management.
- Lost property will be disposed of after two weeks.
- All user groups have a responsibility for conducting their own risk assessments for Covid-19, fire risk/evacuation, and health & safety, and acting on the findings. There may be other risk assessments that your activity/professional body requires you to do. If this is not something which you/your group has engaged in previously, then there is lots of useful information and help on the website of the Health & Safety Executive: https://www.hse.gov.uk/
- If your risk assessment reveals anything you feel the Hall Management ought to improve or rectify, please get in touch.
- The Hall has standard third party insurance covering the Trustees liabilities, but you are responsible for any issues arising from your group’s activity.
- If the rest of the Hall is empty when you leave then please lock the door and set the alarm, irrespective of the time of day. Please do not presume there is a group in a room simply because there ‘normally is’, either perform a quick visual check or check the online bookings schedule. You do not need to check the snooker room.
